The World Museum of Mining is a retired silver mine in Butte, Montana. We visited here in July of 2024 and received a guided tour of this facility including the underground mining tunnels. We learned how the miners navigate their way around the tunnels and how the silver ore was mined and then sent up the ore carts to be crushed and refined. The museum also had on display several high grade silver ore specimens as well as a rendition of an old mining town. If you are ever in Montana, this is worthy stop on your journey, especially if you are an enthusiast of collecting the metal of silver.
