Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver 92.5% Silver Ingots

Did you know that Tiffany & Co. actually at one time in the 1980's offered sterling silver ingots?
We have an example here that is a long slab like ingot or silver bar that weighs 102.70 troy ounces. It came with its own presentation box along with all the proper Tiffany & Co. trademarks on the bar as well as the box.

This particular one was given as an ultimate corporate gift to signify and commemorate the proud advancement of a large corporation with its sales growth.
To our knowledge these bars or ingots were not available very long from Tiffany & Co. and there are almost none available in the marketplace.

What are these worth?
Because of their heavy weight, the collectors are not going to pay you like they would for an old collectible piece of Tiffany & Co. sterling silver from the late 19th century or early 20th century. However, they are definitely worth a premium and can retail in the range of 20-50% over melt value given you that you find the right collector or museum that wants one for their collection. If you are looking to sell to a larger bullion dealer or a silver company like ourselves, you're probably likely to get full 92.5% melt +5%. As a novelity they will likely want it for themselves as an in store display item of a well known maker that dabbled a little bit in making silver bars.
